Dr. Serena Corsini-Munt is a postdoctoral fellow in the Couples and Sexual Heath (CaSH) Lab – she holds a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship for 2016-2018.

Her research focuses on the application of motivation theory to sexual desire, couples’ definitions of sexual desire, and investigating the impact of sexual desire problems on couples. Her dissertation research addressed the development and testing of a novel psychological intervention for couples living with genito-pelvic pain (experiencing pain during sex).

During her fellowship, Serena plans to extend her work in the area of sexual desire to better understand its role in sexual and relational well-being for couples. Serena completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Université de Montréal.
