The Couples Addition to the Childbirth Study

Partners of women enrolled in the Genito-Pelvic Pain in Pregnancy and Postpartum Study, this is your chance to get involved in our research!

(This study is only open to individuals that are 18 years of age or older whose partners are already involved in the Genito-Pelvic Pain in Pregnancy and Postpartum Study, which is no longer recruiting)

Click here for our Info-sheet about the Addition.

We recently received funding so that we can add a couples element to this study. We are hoping to recruit the partners of about 350 of our current participants to complete their own version of the surveys for the study. This portion of the study will help us to learn more about how pain in pregnancy and postpartum affects couples as a whole throughout this important time in your lives. Your partner’s contribution, along with your own, will also help us to develop better treatments for this type of pain.

What we are inviting you to do in the study is very similar to what we have asked your partner to do. If you decide to participate, when your child is three months old, we will send you an individual online survey. Next, we will send you similar surveys when your child is 6-months, 1-year, and 2-years old. These surveys should take no more than 20-25 minutes to complete, and you can fill them out at home.

As a token of thanks for your time and energy, every time you complete a survey we will send you a $10 gift card. When you complete the surveys at 1 and 2 years postpartum, you will also be entered into a draw to win an additional $50 gift card.

If you are interested in participating, please contact us at to let us know and provide us with the following information:
